NOVEMBER 2024 UODATE-We have puppies available! Pearl and Salty had five boys and two girls on October 11. There are currently 5 boys available.

We expect another litter in December 2024.

For new applicants, there is a waiting period if we do not currently have puppies. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please email us WITH YOUR COMPLETED QUESTIONNAIRE ATTACHED. We will be in touch with any further questions. Please include any questions you may have for us. If you prefer to talk over the phone, let us know and we can arrange a time to do so.  ​  

Mountain Thyme Westies Puppy Questionnaire 

 One of our main goals is finding the best homes for our puppies, and this involves getting to know potential new owners. Below is a questionnaire that we ask everyone interested in a puppy to fill out. Once you have sent us your completed questionnaire, we will be in touch with any questions or to confirm if you have been approved for our waiting list.   Please email us your completed questionnaire to: mountainthymewesties@gmail.com     

1. What made you decide on a west highland terrier? Do you have experience with the breed?  
2. Describe your home dynamics- who lives in the home (including pets), how many hours the puppy would be left alone a day (for home members to go to work, school, etc.)  
3. Would you be attending training classes with your puppy? Would you be crate training your puppy?  
4. Describe how you would keep your dog in your yard- i.e. fenced in, on a leash, or invisible fence? 
5. Would you be looking to breed or show your dog, or strictly a pet?   
6. Would you be open to an in-home screening?   
7. Can you provide a personal and veterinary reference?  
8. If you do not currently have a pet, do you have a vet lined up who can see your puppy?
9. Are you willing to sign a contract stating that if you needed to rehome your dog for any reason, you would contact us first to help you?  
10. Are you hoping for a male or female puppy, or have no preference?  
11. Are you looking for a puppy now or in the future?
