Mountain Thyme Westies Puppy Questionnaire
One of our main goals is finding the best homes for our puppies, and this involves getting to know potential new owners. Below is a questionnaire that we ask everyone interested in a puppy to fill out. Please email us your completed questionnaire to: mountainthymewesties@gmail.com
- What made you decide on a west highland terrier? Do you have experience with the breed?
- Describe your home dynamics- who lives in the home (including pets), how many hours the puppy would be left alone a day (for home members to go to work, school, etc.)
- Would you be attending training classes with your puppy? Would you be crate training your puppy?
- Describe how you would keep your dog in your yard- i.e. fenced in, on a leash, or invisible fence?
- Would you be looking to breed or show your dog, or strictly a pet?
- Would you be open to an in-home screening?
- Can you provide a personal and veterinary reference?
- If you do not currently have a pet, do you have a vet lined up who can see your puppy?
- Are you willing to sign a contract stating that if you needed to rehome your dog for any reason, you would contact us first to help you?
- Are you hoping for a male or female puppy, or have no preference?
- Are you looking for a puppy now or in the future?
